In this diet, you need to follow fasting and feasting and specified intervals.

If you consider the 5:2 diet, here it says that you need to eat for 5 days and fast for 2 days in a week. When you go for the fasting days, your dietician will ask you to consume 500 to 600 calories per day. In the daily diet plan of 16:8, you can eat whatever you like in 8 hours and rest 16 hours you need to fast. The latest study has evaluated the benefits 16:8 provides for the obese individuals and gives best results for weight loss while reducing the blood pressure as well.

According to the data from Centers for disease control and prevention, 93.3 million people are obese in United States. 40% of the population is facing obese issues.

Losing weight without counting calories:

A professor had considered 23 obese participants for his study whose age was ranging 45 years on average and their average BMI was 35. They were allowed to eat how much they want and what ever quantity they need from 10.00 AM to 6.00PM i.e. for 8 hours of a day and after that they can only drink water during the other 16 hours of the day. This diet has been followed by them for 12 weeks and their fasting outcomes were compared with the intermittent fasting known as alternate day fasting. When compared the 16:8 diet people have consumed 350 calories less when compared to the other diet and have lost 3% of their weight.

Though the results of this diet are almost similar to the other type of diets, the benefit of opting for 16:8 diet is that it is very easy to be maintained in your day to day busy life. The most important thing which you need to understand here that these diets will not count your intake of calories and still you can manage to lose weight without starving and preventing the intake of carbohydrates or your most favorite food items.
